The car's a 1987 series II Coupe quattro with the 2.2 10v KV engine. There's 169000 miles on the clock, and no reason to believe they're not genuine.

It hadn't had an MOT since 2001 and had been stored in a barn for most of the time since. The car started first time after a new battery had been fitted, but unfortunately the exhaust cracked too. As it's the original I'm not too worried!

These photos were taken shortly after we towed the car home. As you can see it's generally quite tidy, but we had a bit of a mishap on the way. The car would have actually driven home, but it was 50 miles and there was no tax or MOT, so we towed it. We got to 100 yards from our destination, and I let the rope go slack when we stopped to let someone pass. When my dad set off again, the towing loop pulled off and took the bumper and headlight with it. I then promptly ran over the headlight and finished it off! Suffice to say I was not pleased, but these things happen!!
