If I'm going to be using the car from day to day
I can't live without remote locking, so I bought a new remote central locking
kit for the car (dead cheap off Ebay - from a bloke in Hong Kong)
Last week I started stripping out the old alarm, immobiliser and lock actuators.
None of it worked anyway.
The photos above are the underneath of the dash with the glove box and pockets
removed. Scary how little there is to it.
Anyway, I pulled out half a carrier bag of wiring and stuff, including two
defunct central locking motors from the drivers door (??) and fitted the new
bits.
It all went well apart from I've managed to disconnect the electric windows in
the process - doh!
Steve finished welding on the front, and I got the bonnet clips adjusted so it
closes properly.
Finally we got the new radiator fitted and started the engine for the first time
in weeks.
