Bit of work done here. After a failed experiment I won't go into, I've fixed in
the sunroof and filled the gaps with fibreglass filler all round.
This is the first step in getting it filled in permanently.
Then I started on the big rusty patch on the door. This is before I started.
It's been filled before, for whatever reason but started to rust under the
rubbing strip.
I ground it down to bare metal, then applied a big lump of filler, which
I've made a start on sanding back.
This is obviously only the very first step and LOTS more filling and sanding is
to come!
On a more positive note I've re-fitted the drivers side sill covers and trim,
after coating the sill underneath with lots of protective gunk!
And I've finally got a decent set of front foggies, so they're fitted along with
the indicators, and the number plate mounting thingy. Slowly but surely...
