The plan for today was to get the car to a point where it can be taken to the garage for its first MOT in four years - so, first job was to get the roof looking less like a big mass of filler...
It's a huge improvement on what it was! I promise to stop taking photos of my
roof now!

Makes a mess, this sanding lark.
A couple of different angles on the roof. It's far from perfect but it's not bad
for now.
Looking good! I sanded and filled several stone chips on the front of the bonnet
while I had the filler handy.
I even remembered to put petrol in!
I drove the car to the garage at the end of the street, with no brakes! I've
never driven so slowly in my life - with my dad walking alongside directing
traffic around me!
So Monday morning it'll get new brake pipes, then an MOT. And I'm sure I will
receive a long list of new jobs to do.
The garage stuck about ten post-it notes on the outside and inside of the cars saying "NO BRAKES", which I found amusing until he said "It'd be just like one of our lads to hop and and zoom at top speed into the workshop wall" !
